Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

Hello again, lovelies

It seems that is a time to write some new entry on here, some time has passed since the last one. And some things surely got changed.
Since more or less two weeks I'm having works at my home connected to its renovation. There's a lot of mess here currently ^^' Especially with moved furniture and lots of things spread all around. Some of them probably sadly got lost. But well, anyway, it is supposed to make the home better, so maybe it's worth.

College was not making me overly busy fortunately, but next weeks will probably be more demanding. It generally goes well for me so far.
Oh, and I don't know, if you remember the chinese classes I mentioned about some time ago, the semester is going to end soon, actually after the April. I will probably apply for the next one that starts in October.

I'm also really grateful for all your signatures under a petition I gave a link to recently. Votes of you all were surely meaningful.
Fortunately the goal was achieved and it was officially announced all the animals that suffered a disaster in Japan will not undergo an euthanasia.
